An odd day

My day started with sleepy eyes after only having about four hours of sleep. After a very hot shower that nearly boiled me but woke me up I swung on my biycle to ride to school. Everything went as usual as suddenly my rear wheel blocked and I had a hard time not falling. I stopped - angry. What the heck happened? Didn't they check it in the bike-shop?! The reason for the wheel blocking was that the rear fender got lose and caused the blocking. I got so angry that I put all my power into ripping the fender off. But I missed the thing the fender is attached to. So as I wanted to proceed my ride ---BÄM--- me on the ground and a bloody knee. Even more angry. So I ripp off that part too. Arriving at school, a shocked look from the secretary at my bloody knee.

Schoolday as usual just a little longer.

Then I took my bicycle to the bike shop and they fixed it. Good for them! and of course for me. My next stop is the Vancouver Art Galerie where Critical Mass starts from. After looking on the wrong side I find JANET!!!. Long ride, my butt hurts, stupid saddle.

We ride back into the city and I could not believe what I saw. I saw two young men and it struck me like lightning. These two men were the wardens of the camp I went to when I was 10 or something. And also one of them lived on street away from me in a village somewhere in Germany with 3000 inhabitants... Even more odd. I did not seem to have changed. I stop and say: "Milan?" he looks at me and adresses me with the name that everybody calls me that knew me as a child "Kiki?" What a super freaking weird ....(I can't even find words that fit) coincidence! This reminds me of how I wanted to go to Seattle and at the border the border patrol guy looks into my passport and says in German: "I was a tennis instructor in the place you were born"... WTH?! The little town I spend most of my youth in.. SO odd..
After a little bit of small talk, and me being largely puzzled that the world is such a village, we continue our ride to the Sushi restaurant.

I eat tasty spinach salad-like thing, noodles and tuna sushi. But I found out that the one with eel is actually very tasty. I would never have thought so. After the more than delicious dinner we go to the cinema and watch "Tokyo"... really one of the best movies I saw in the last few months. Maybe that is because I can't watch Arte in Canada.. but hey! It was a nice movie and some interesting ideas in it that gave food for thought. But more importantly the visual aspects were a real feast for the eye.

Ha. I really want something sweet ... 7/11... I am happy. Skytrain. Ride home w/ bike and now cosy bed.

What a day!
